The course is designed to provide the learner with the knowledge, practical skills and understanding required to provide and coordinate First Aid in the workplace.

This Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) First Aid Response Course (FAR) is the new First Aid Training Standard for occupational first aid in the workplace recognised by both the Health & Safety Authority and PHECC. Our expert-led program is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to emergencies in the workplace or community. Over the course participants will receive hands-on training in CPR, wound care, fracture management, and much more. Our interactive sessions are led by experienced instructors who ensure that every participant gains the confidence to handle medical emergencies with competence and composure. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive certification as a First Aid Response, recognized nationwide.

Description
This blended First Aid Response Re-certification course is intended for those who wish to maintain their PHECC FAR certification. This course will equip participants with knowledge and practical skills to give effective life support, diagnose and treat injuries and illness and care and maintain comfort of a patient until the arrival of emergency medical services.

This course is intended for anyone who wish to keep their PHECC FAR Certification up to date.

Duration:
12 hours

Training methodology:
This course is a blended and classroom based and instructor led highly interactive programme utilising a range of training methods: presentation, small group interactions, demonstrations and practical hands-on AED training.

Assessment:
30 minutes Multiple Choice Questions Exam (20 questions); the pass mark is 60% & practical skills assessment

Accreditation/Certification:
On successful completion of this course participants will receive a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) First Aid Responder Certificate which is valid for 2 years.

How many will be in the class
To ensure maximum participation and to enable each student gain the most out of the day, we are adopting the ratio of a maximum of 8 students per course.
